COVID-19 Small Business Support Program
The Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale is committed to supporting local small businesses through this challenging time.
The Shire has partnered with Business Foundations and Business Advisory South West and Peel to deliver FREE one-on-one advisory sessions to provide guidance in the face of the challenge that COVID-19 presents to our local businesses.
Business Foundations and Business Advisory South West and Peel can offer the service online or over the phone if required. Advisors will spend an hour with each business providing tailored advice.
Small Business Support Session
Business consultants from Business Foundations and Business Advisory South West and Peel will be made available for a one hour one-to-one confidential consultation relating to the following areas:
- Government assistance measures
- Occupation health and safety for staff/employment obligations
- Business continuity plan
Businesses owners or operators can also discuss any other questions or concerns they have relating to their business regarding the impacts of COVID-19.
How to apply
To apply for a FREE session through the Shire’s COVID-19 Small Business Support Program, simply send an email to joneill@sjshire.wa.gov.au from your business email address, with “COVID-19 Small Business Support application” in the subject line.

Eligibility
- Have a lease on a premise in the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale OR are the registered owner of a small business in the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale.
AND
- Are a small business as defined by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (fewer than 20 employees)
**Please note that only a limited number of places are available for eligible businesses.

The West Australian Local Government Association has launched a sector-wide procurement platform to allow local businesses to easily access local government contracts. It is free to use for members and suppliers. Once registered, you can receive invitations to quote on work across dozens of categories, from building products to transport and logistics.
