What's on at the Library?

Western Australian author Rachael Johns will join us to speak about her experience as a writer as well as her recent success with bestseller, Something to Talk About.

Rachael is currently Australia’s leading writer of contemporary relationship stories around women’s issues, a genre she has coined ‘life-lit’.

The meet-and-greet style event will be held at the Mundijong Public Library, 10 Paterson St, Mundijong, on Wednesday, 6 October 2021, at 6.30pm.

Join us throughout Spring for regular events and programs including Rhyme Time, Chitter Chatter Playgroup and Lego Club.

Be Bushfire Ready

Warmer weather is fast approaching and it's now crucial to ensure you are bushfire prepared ahead of the bushfire season.

The Shire will continue its bushfire preparation efforts throughout Spring, with several key mitigation projects to be carried out including prescribed burns and installation of fire breaks.

From September, land owners in the Shire will receive their Fire Hazard Reduction Notice, which outlines land owners responsibilities to ensure their property is prepared by the 1 December 2021 deadline.

With more than 95% of our Shire classified as “bushfire prone”, it is vital we all do our part to ensure we are prepared prior to the bushfire season.

Do you have a bushfire plan in place? If not, you can get started on one here.
