Shire’s response to the three-day lockdown

Following the announcement by the State Government of the three-day lockdown for the Perth and Peel regions, the list below outlines the Shire’s response which comes in to effect from midnight tonight (12.01am Saturday, 24 April) until 12.01am, Tuesday, 27 April:

The following local Anzac Day services are cancelled:

  • Serpentine Jarrahdale RSL Dawn Service (Byford)
  • Processional March and Commemorative Service (Serpentine)

Shire facilities closed to customers and visitors:

  • Administration building and Customer Service Centre
  • Mundijong Public Library
  • Watkins Road Transfer Station and Recycling Centre

For urgent matters please contact our after hours service on 9526 1111

Shire facilities closed for public use:

  • Serpentine Jarrahdale Community Recreation Centre
  • Playgrounds
  • Skate Parks
  • Outdoor recreation facilities
  • Shire halls, pavilions, buildings
  • Byford Bark Park

All public meetings and events scheduled during the three-day lockdown will not proceed as planned.

Weekly and fortnightly waste and recycling collection are not interrupted. Continue to put your bins out on your normal days.

Our Emergency Services Team and Community Safety Team are an essential service to the community and this will continue during the week. Staff will wear PPE (face masks) and also maintain social distancing protocols and regular hand sanitising.
