Reissue of postal voting packages

Published on Friday, 1 October 2021 at 3:36:00 PM

The Western Australian Electoral Commission has advised the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale that owing to alleged interference with the local government postal vote packages sent to a number of electors in the Byford area that replacement voting packages will be sent to affected electors.

The postal voting package initially sent to these electors has been cancelled by the Western Australian Electoral Commission.

Electors who have not received a voting package in the post by 7 October 2021 should contact the Shire to complete an Application for Replacement Postal Voting Papers Form to receive a new voting package.

Electors intending to vote, should ensure their package is posted in time to reach the Returning Officer by election day, Saturday 16 October 2021.

Alternatively, electors can hand deliver their completed package to the ballot box at the Shire Office during normal business hours or on Saturday 16 October, from 8am to 6pm
