The Shire is committed to improving the safety of our local road network.

At its February meeting, the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale Council approved the upgrade of a 2.7km section of Hopkinson Road between Gloaming Way and Abernethy Road.

The works will include:

• Sealing of road shoulders
• Installation of edge line markers
• Centreline delineations marking
• Removal of roadside hazards

The $315,000 project is funded by a two-third contribution from the 2019/20 Black Spot Funding program and a one-third contribution by the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale.

Start date: March 2020

Completion date: The works are scheduled to be completed by June 2020.

Prior to the commencement of works, notification will be made via the Shire’s website and Facebook page. Adjacent properties will be notified via letter drop.
