Sew Sustainable Saturdays

Saturday 15th October 2022 - Saturday 17th June 2023

The Serpentine Jarrahdale Library Services and Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale Waste Education Officer Polly will be hosting FREE beginners sewing lessons (BYO used fabric to repurpose - sewing machines and over locker provided) every third Saturday of the month.

Each month will be a different theme to repurpose old fabrics (pillowcases, quilt covers, clothes etc) and learn to sew/repurpose into a useful household product to reduce textile waste to landfill.

BYO fabric to be repurposed, though there will be some samples available from the SJ Reuse Shop to choose from (gold coin donation) if you want to continue using your newly acquired skills at home and make more amazing items!

Bookings essential as small class sizes, see individual Humanitix links to secure your place: https://www.humanitix.com/au/search?query=sew+sustainable
