Access and Inclusion Advisory Group

The Access and Inclusion Advisory Group plays an important role in delivering positive outcomes in the access and inclusion space in Serpentine Jarrahdale.

The group's mission is to promote and advocate for improving access and inclusion in the Shire.

The Shire is seeking nominations for six (6) community member positions. Nominations can be from individuals or relevant organisation representatives.

All applicants are required to have direct interest or lived experience related to access and inclusion.

Appointments to the committee are merit based and will be made by Council at a Special Council Meeting on 6 November 2023. Appointments are for a two-year (2) period.

To find out more about the Access and Inclusion Advisory Group see the dedicated web page and Your Say SJ page.

To submit your interest in joining the Access and Inclusion Advisory Group, please complete the form below.

Please select the type of nomination you are making (an organisational nomination allows the appropriate representative from an organisation or a proxy to attend for the length of the term of appointment and is not tied to a specific staff member. Council will consider all applications on merit, there is no requirement for an allocation of organisational representatives.) *

Advisory group participants are welcome to request any specialist support to participate, (Eg: transport assistance, interpreter). If appointed, is there anything you need to make it easier to participate? *

As per the terms of reference the advisory group will meet quarterly (or more often if needed). Meetings are typically 1.5hrs with a 2hr maximum commencing at 4.30pm on a Thursday afternoon. *
