Youth

Our Youth Development Team focus on working with young people between the ages of 12 and 18 to enhance their connections to the community, through active participation and delivery of a variety of programs and activities.

The programs and activities are developed in conjunction with the young people of our Shire, and aim to cater for a variety of interests and backgrounds.

Activities and programs

The Shire offers a variety of programs such as:

  • Drop In Sessions
  • Wellness Sessions
  • Life Skill Sessions
  • School Holiday Programs

Mission Australia Youth Survey

In 2021 Youth from across the Shire participated in the Mission Australia Youth Survey, click the image below to read the report of the results specific to our residents. This survey provides youth with a platform to share their values, aspirations and concerns, the results help guide the programs the Shire delivers.
