Community Infrastructure Fund

Phase One Expressions of interest close at 5pm, 31 August. Phase 2 expressions of interest closure date to be advised.

The Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale’s Community Infrastructure Fund process is in place to provide a coordinated way in which the Shire can consider a range of community driven infrastructure projects, leading to the enhancement or upgrade of Shire facilities.

Council supported Community Infrastructure Fund EOI’s are prioritised and influenced by the Long Term Financial Plan and budget planning cycle. External funding opportunities may be sought for those projects, to reduce the financial burden on the club/group and Shire.

Community Infrastructure funding will not be provided or considered:

  • Outside of the Community Infrastructure Fund process;
  • To retrospective projects;

All approved Community Infrastructure Fund projects will be managed and coordinated by the Shire.

To assist sporting clubs and community groups considering a Community Infrastructure Fund application it is suggested they review the Department Local Government Sport and Communities document here, as it provides a comprehensive overview of how to appropriately plan for facilities.

During the planning phase of your project you should familiarise yourself to the all Australian Standards, National Construction Code and Access to Premises Standards.
