Have you say on the Shire's environmental management
Closed: 15 November 2019 11:59pm
Have your say on the environmental management of the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale. The community vision developed by the Shire highlights the importance of protecting the environment in the context of expected growth. This will be aided by the development of a State of the Environment Report and updating the Local Biodiversity Strategy.
The State of the Environment Report is designed to communicate credible, timely and accessible information about the condition of the environment to decision makers and the community. It considers the state, threats and management responses for the themes of atmosphere, land, inland waters, biodiversity, human settlements and heritage.
The Local Biodiversity Strategy was endorsed in 2008 to protect local areas of bushland, wetlands and vegetated waterways, especially where they have significant ecological features. The purpose of the Update Report is to review the implementation of the Strategy over the last ten years, and to propose a revised set of targets and actions for the next ten years.
The draft Reports may be inspected at the Shire’s offices during business hours.
Electronic copies and submission forms can be downloaded from the Shire’s website via the links below.
Submissions may be made to the Chief Executive Officer, Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale by 5pm, 15 November 2019.
