Code of Conduct
In accordance with the Local Government Act 1995, every Western Australian local government is to prepare and adopt Codes of Conduct.
The respective Codes of Conduct for Elected Members, Committee Members and employees, establish principles and standards of behaviour that must be observed related to:
- Our values
- The way we do business
- How we treat others
- Conflicts of interest
The Codes of Conduct for Elected Members, Committee Members and employees, should be read in conjunction with the Local Government Act 1995, the Local Government (Rules of Conduct) Regulations 2007 and other legislation. The respective Codes do not override or affect those provisions or requirements.
