Seniors Lifestyle Program

Find out about the workshops, programs and activities that form our Lifestyle Program for local seniors. 

Our Seniors Lifestyle Program includes 4 themes:

  • Be Active
  • Be Informed
  • Be Entertained
  • Be Outgoing

The program aims to complement age-friendly topic areas from the World Health Organizations Global Age-friendly Cities Guide.

  • Community support and health services
  • Respect and social inclusion, social participation
  • Transportation

Be Active seniors

We are partnering with the Serpentine Jarrahdale Community Recreation Centre YMCA to bring you exercise programs specifically tailored to seniors.  A variety of weekly classes are held.  Please call the Recreation Centre on 9550 6777 for details. Costs apply.

Be Informed seniors

Come and join in on free monthly information sessions that will keep you informed. Topics range from health and wellbeing, seniors rights, cooking, gardening and other areas of interest suggested by our seniors.

Be Entertained seniors

Stay tuned for information on entertainment planned for seniors. This will include movie matinees and concerts held within the Shire. Costs will vary depending on the session.

Be Outgoing seniors

Monthly bus outings are available locally and across the broader Peel and Metropolitan regions.
Costs apply for the bus and depends on the number of participants. Lunch, other refreshments and any entry fees are at your own expense. Bookings will be essential to secure your place.

Participants in any of the programs or activities who do not have their own transport arrangements can make use of a community bus. Contact us  or call us on 9526 1111 to arrange.
