Community Grants Program

To provide financial assistance to community groups and individuals within the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale.

Community grants program:

Aims to provide financial assistance to incorporated not-for-profit organisations and community groups for the delivery of projects and events that align with the following principles:

  • Are innovative and of a high quality;
  • Promote a sense of community and inclusion across the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale;
  • Help residents to be healthy, active and engaged in community life;
  • Encourage the development of locally led and delivered projects and activities;
  • Celebrate diversity and cultural heritage;
  • Support projects that are in line with Shire plans and objectives.
The Community Grants Program consists of the following grant categories (please see Community Grants Policy for further detail pertaining to conditions and eligibility).

Sundry Grant

Available to assist with costs associated with establishment and appropriate governance of eligible organisations. 

Sporting Travel Grant

Residents of the Shire can apply for financial assistance towards travel expenses associated with being selected to compete in a national or international sporting competition. This includes selection on a state or national team that is sanctioned by a state or national sporting body.

 

Youth Leadership and Training Grant

Residents of the Shire can apply for financial assistance towards the costs associated with youth leadership and training opportunities.

General Grant

Available to assist with the implementation of programs or delivery of events, that deliver outcomes and benefits consistent with the above principles. Applications are now being accepted for the current grant round which closes on 29 November 2019

Major Grant

  • Available for applications that are consistent with above principles and align with Shire plans and objectives. Applications are now being accepted for the current grant round which closes on 28 February 2020.
