An accessible and inclusive community for everyone.

The Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale is reviewing its Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP) for the next 5 years and would like your thoughts on how to make our Shire more inclusive and accessible for everyone who lives or visits here.

Anyone can be involved. Have you ever pushed a pram, had a sports injury or tried to move around while carrying large bags? Perhaps you have a family member or know somebody who has a disability, have frail or aged relatives or friends who speak a language other than English?

We value your input in this important process and would appreciate you spending a few minutes to complete a questionnaire which can be accessed by pressing the link below.

The questionnaire is also available in hard copy upon request or by visiting the following facilities;

If you need assistance with the questionnaire, please call Community Services on 9526 1111 to arrange for the questionnaire to be completed over the phone, in person or online.

The closing date for questionnaires is 25 August 2017.

What is access and inclusion?

‘Access’ refers to providing infrastructure such as footpaths, ramps, ACROD parking and accessible toilets. It also includes making information available in formats that meet your needs such as large print, audio and braille.

‘Inclusion’ means that people of all abilities have equal opportunity to participate in Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale services, programs, events, consultation and employment.
