The Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale extends our deepest condolences to family and friends of former councillor Jeanette (Jan) Pascall who passed away early this week.

A local councillor from 1989 to 1993 and a powerful advocate for tourism and economic development in the area, Jan received the prestigious Clem Kentish Community Service Award in 1997.

Despite moving away from Jarrahdale in 2000, she maintained her interest in the local area, by continuing to be involved in the Serpentine Historical Society and the Serpentine Jarrahdale Cemeteries Management Committee.

The funeral for Jan will be held on Wednesday the 6th of June at Amberley Gardens, 200 Fletcher Road Karnup commencing at 11.30am.

Jan will be remembered as a passionate and committed member of the community who was always willing to help out.

As a mark of respect, the flags at the Shire’s Administration Centre have been lowered to half-mast.
