FREE school holiday activity

A workshop for young people to challenge the idea of waste.

Participants will think creatively and use materials that are regularly discarded around the home. Children will participate in a group challenge and leave with a unique creation constructed from recycled materials.

The workshop will get you thinking about ideas for inventions you may want to enter into the Young Re-inventors competition! 


On Wednesday 23 January 2019 from 10am to 11.30am.


Clem Kentish Hall, Wellard Street, Serpentine.


This event is for kids aged between 8 and 12 years. Parents are required to be in attendance at this event however, they don't need to register.

Our free school holiday program is almost always full. If you can't make it, please cancel your tickets as soon as possible so that someone else can enjoy the event. If you're unsure how to cancel your tickets, please email  and let us know.

We will be taking photographs at this event. The images we take will be used by the Shire to share news about events and to publicise our next school holiday program. No. You don't need to print out your ticket. we'll check you off the RSVP list by name.
