Native Garden Expo

Free verge plant program

Running from 9am to 2pm the expo will host a bag of presenters educating the community on subjects from creating a water-wise garden to attracting birds.

Presenters are coming from a range of backgrounds including the Oakford Native Nursey, Beyond Gardens, Birdlife Australia, and the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale.

There is also workshops for the kids using recycled products to design plant labels and bottle spinners, something for the whole family.

The event is designed to promote the Free Verge Plant Program run in partnership by Landcare SJ, The Roadside Care Volunteers and the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale.

The Free Verge Plant Program provides FREE native seedlings to be planted on verges within the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale.

Landholders are also able to apply for free herbicide to control weeds before planting begins.
